Logo Design Brief

134 acre lavender farm - open to the public. Atmosphere: relaxing country setting modeled after Provence, France. Sheep featured. We create organic cosmetic products from our lavender. Guests allowed to cut their own bouquets. Located in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, key player in the Revolutionary War, so we’d like the logo to be fresh, but have a sense of history. We like the look of the signage and serif typeset fonts of Colonial Williamsburg.

We need a logo that will look great on a large farm sign, on cosmetic products, on uniforms for employees, and on business cards and our website. We’d like something that looks timeless.

Must have

• Prefer hand-drawn.
• Please include a sprig or bundle of lavender in the design.
• Olde English or Early American feel. Like a 1776 colonial American sign for a shop.
• Possibly rows/hills of lavender.
• Should also look good in black and white. Needs to be easily read on a truck door and on small cosmetic tubes/bottles.

Nice to have

• SIMPLE farm feel. Less is more.

Should not have

• Stock images, fancy scripts, busy images, bright colors.
