Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a logo design for a company I am starting, "Toney Consulting".
A little background:
Name: My sister and I are the last in the "Toney" generation, hence my decision to keep Toney in the company name.
About: International event planning and marketing consulting services - emphasis on events.

Originally I was interested in writing Toney Consulting in calligraphy (to keep it simple) and have not received much positive feedback on that type of design for this company. I am looking for creative and innovative ideas that match the services I provide so that the logo is recognizable and top of mind for clients.
