CLIENT
Evolution Capital is a mid market corporate finance boutique exclusively serving the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector operating in the UK and internationally to provide specialist advice in mergers, acquisitions and disposals. The company has been operating for over 10 years but has not been active for the past 12 months and is now re-launching with a new team and a new brand.
AUDIENCE
Evolution Capital’s targeted audience will be aimed at both buyers and sellers from Technology, Media and Telecommunications companies at the small to mid end of the market.
VALUES TO COMMUNICATE
Evolution Capital aim to be seen as:
1. The firm that know the buyers and sellers better than anyone else
2. To complete more transactions in the target sectors than anyone else
3. To deliver this at a price and quality that differentiates them from main stream accountancy firms and corporate finance teams
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The client requires a new website for the re-launch of the company using the new brand logo as per attached. It is important that the website design showcases Evolution Capital as a professional, expert and reliable corporate finance company with a contemporary and up-to-date approach. The design must achieve the right balance between being corporate but contemporary, here is a company that we feel has achieved this with their website design - http://www.liloventures.com
The website page templates required will include:
• Home Page – Contact details, data capture for newsletter, menu bar, links to key pages, latest news section and space for video footage
• About Us Page – A page to introduce the team and partners with profile pictures. Could also be used for client page.
• Content Page – pages used to describe services. These will be more text heavy.
• Contact Us Page – contact details and form submission
• News page – A page to show news stories, articles and events - some of this will be video based
• News articles page – A page used for an individual news article or blog - provision for video footage
We will also need two page templates for a single page-width content area, and some kind of two column page to permit calls-to-action and other links/items to be displayed alongside the main page content.
Please find attached a site map of content.
Other features to consider:
Calls-to-action required:
• Request a call-back
• Submit an enquiry
• Request a video conference
• Request an appointment
The calls-to-action should be designed as interchangeable elements, so that some pages could have a single call-to-action, whereas others could have 2 calls-to-action (such as the homepage).
Social media icons on all pages – Twitter and LinkedIn
Contact phone number on all pages
Imagery – the client would like to use contemporary stock imagery rather than the more traditional images of smiling business people. Please see http://www.liloventures.com as an example.
PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The website needs to reflect the high end service being delivered by Evolution Capital and reinforce their professional and expert background within the industry. Evolution Capital are dedicated to using the latest technology to communicate with clients and run their business. This forward thinking approach must be reflected in the design.
The site will be primarily informational and a showcase of their professionalism and wealth of experience. It will also be used to capture data for regular newsletters to be sent out sharing industry news and advice.
Evolution Capital aim to be viewed as a modern company and plan to use features such as video content, webinars, conferencing and client log in areas on their site. The website must also be accessible via smartphones and tablets.
CONSTRAINTS
The design constraints are (1) The fonts, brand colours and general look of the website must be consistent with the new logo (2) The professional and corporate nature of the business should be reflected in the design (3) The design work is to be completed within the designated time frame.
WEBSITE COMPARISONS
http://liloventures.com/ best contemporary image but poor content
http://www.meridiancf.com/ reasonably contemporary image, simple approach/basic content, interesting home page, we like… deals, services, people
http://www.knightcf.com/ closest competitor in the Telecoms sector, no media or tech, very average content, very focused on getting across the point that they are doing transactions in the target sector - important!
http://www.clearwatercf.com/services/service.asp?item=5 - grown up company, the only one that uses video, and sticks it on the front page - we like/must have…perhaps our last webinar
http://www.acuity.co.uk/ only independent one with knowledge section see 'Insights', we would want our knowledge to be mainly video based
DELIVERY
