T-shirt Design Brief

We are a marine research company located in Victoria, British Columbia that provides marine resource management and specializes in fisheries monitoring (both people and electronic). We would like a design for shirts/hoodys to give to our staff in celebration of 40 years in business (established in 1978). We would like to see designs that have a marine theme and local British Columbia fish like rockfish, halibut, sablefish or lingcod. Other things that reflect our business would be a fishing trawler or longliner boat (some examples are attached), and kelp (but not necessary). Our preference is one to two colours and a design that would go on the back of the garment.

Requirements

Must have

• Local BC fish like rockfish, halibut, sablefish or lingcod
• Marine environment theme
• Archipelago Marine Research

Nice to have

• A design that will not be a solid screen - prefer a somewhat simple design
• Could incorporate fishing trawler or longliner boat (some examples attached), bull kelp - possibly looking up through water (with fish in it) and a boat on top of water (like photos where they capture both above and below the water line)
• Would be nice to have the company name "Archipelago" as the vessel name (see image of trawler attached) and the 5 digit registration number on the vessel (see image of longliner attached) read "78218" (that stands for 1978 to 2018)
