Logo Design Brief

Realize needs a logo design for our Mantra wellness products sold at alternative-type retailers

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Mantra builds on the rich cannabis heritage of the Mile High state and the associated good will of hippies and counter-culture and natural products. Hemp grown in Colorado is the source of our raw materials.

· Mantra is our curated range of CBD hemp oil health products offered in consumer-friendly tinctures, vape forms including vapepens and concentrated forms as well as edible formats (examples of firms selling similar products, google “CBD Oils”).

· Mantra should play on the more hippy/ carefree element of a head shop (not the 'street' or 'stoner' vibe) with a modern and simple logo that conveys confidence in the product. Something that would speak to consumers of all ages (not just young people)

· Mantra, a prayer from the east and gives a feeling of mysteriousness and the unknown, perhaps even that which is forbidden. Maybe a little bit naughty or evil and tempting.

USE: Logo will be used on website/ product/ business cards/ invoices 



We also want to convey a feeling of professionalism and seriousness and excellence, although this feels like it could be contradictory to the other aspects, nevertheless, it’s part of our thinking. What second word or treatment might bring this to the “Mantra” concept?

Target Market(s)

RETAIL CUSTOMER: Mantra will be sold AT RETAIL and is not intended to be an online, Ecommerce brand, so the design is to be appealing on a shelf, clear to be observed from a short distance behind a counter at a retailer.

CONSUMER: The consumer is NOT a stoner, rather, a middle-aged woman or man who is seriously interested in alternative health avenues. May not be comfortable in a head shop and cares about safety and needs to feel confident about the products they are taking. Conveying trust is very important to us.
