Logo Design Brief
I need a logo for my new business Rooted in Light. This is a trauma-focused life coaching business that partners with the client to move from the darkness of trauma into the light of healing. With this unique approach, I use horses and an understanding of mindfulness and body awareness to help my clients find peace.
I like things that feel unique and artistic and I'm okay with abstract designs, too. I also appreciate the look of things that are hand drawn, painted or stamped.
I realize that there are 3 different concepts at work here - light, roots, horses. Any design that can find a way to incorporate all three will automatically be placed at the top of my list. At least two of those concepts will need to be included in any design that I consider choosing. I've included some stock images of a horse that hold some appeal for me and may provide some inspiration.

Must have
- I really want something that stands out from the crowd. The work that I do can be competitive and I need a logo that is eye-catching, intriguing, and invites questions.
- The logo should work well in full color and have a version that works well as a single color.
- I would like to see deep purples, greens in the logo, but am open to yellows, grays, and blues. I like deeper colors as opposed to bright colors.
- I would require the logo sent to me as an Adobe Illustrator file.
- Fonts that are available to use on a website
Nice to have
- I would like to have an icon plus the text, unless you have a really creative thought on how to create an image with the logo text
Should not have
- Stock icons that a lot of other companies could use. Logo that only works on a dark background.
