Logo Design Brief

Just a simple professional services (medical group) business logo design.

We are a small < 30 group of emergency medicine physicians providing services to hospitals in the SF Bay Area. We are a group of dynamic, energetic and academically accomplished doctors.

The purpose of the logo is for both internal and external communications (stationary, business cards, website).

Stylistically I"m looking for something that is fresh but professional. Based on our initials "MPEMA" but that can additionally include "Mills Peninsula Emergency Medical Associates." Probably something more script based opposed to cutsie or playful uses of standard medical imagery like crosses, the weird snake thing climbing a pole, ambulances, stethoscopes or EKG/pulse waveform. Happy to entertain geographic imagery but not preferable. Target market internally is for shareholders - to stimulate a renewed excitement for the practice and brand. Externally to convey professionalism, competence, youthful uniqueness to set us apart from other stodgy regional players (Palo Alto Medical Foundation, California Emergency Physicians). For website preferably white color only. Would need to play equally well with a bold dark color for use on letterhead/cards.
