Logo Design Brief
Please read all the specification carefully and view the example logos attached. The name of the business is:
blueprintable.xyz
PLEASE NOTE: I would like a minimalist concept that is clever, but subtle. Please take your time with this if you need to. I would rather have 1 really outstanding design, than many not-as-good designs.
What the business does: This is a new business that designs the 3D model files specifically for use in 3D printing. You want to possibly incorporate subtle elements of:
- blueprints
- 3D printers or the process
- 3D elements (the logo should not be 3D though).
You need to take the time to understand what the business does, what 3D printing is and how you can incorporate these elements in the design.
This is the domain name as well as the company name. However the ".xyz" may or may not be part of the main text. I would prefer it to though to achieve better brand consistency. Choose whether or not to capitalize any or all of the letters to suit the logo.
What we do: We design the 3D model files that are ready to be 3D printed (not the slogan).
What we want to say: Our business is all about creating exact 3D models, in a simple and professional way - that you can rely on. The files will be exclusively for 3D printing. You may or may not want make reference to 3D printers, but this is not essential.
I'd like an edgy style of design, maybe incorporating hints of blueprint style drawings (just a little bit?). But I will leave the clever design elements to you. Hopefully you will be able to impress.
If you add an icon element, I prefer very simple subtle designs better than overly intricate designs.
It may work well to have the colours as blue with either black, white or dark grey. I think blue would definitely work best regarding the name, but if you feel you want to experiment with a different colour instead to make it stand out, then try it.
The customers this is targeted to will be professional 3D printing bureaus, and smaller businesses. So its important the design is edgy and crisp.
You may also want to include subtle relations to 'blue prints' in the design, or engineering related design elements.
If you have any questions please just ask. I like your designs as they clearly look well thought out with clever subtle design elements to them - so that's what I'm hoping for here. Its extremely important that this logo is exactly what we're looking for and portrays the business properly.
Please see the attached word doc with other logos in that I like. These are not necessarily the style I want, but you can appreciate the good design elements in each one.
Thank you in advance, we look forward to seeing your designs!

Requirements
Must have
- The logo should have the ratio between 2:1 and 2.5:1 width. I.e it should be approximately twice the width to the height. We do not like long and thin logos, which may be a challenge considering the length of the word.
- The logo needs to be relevant and clever, please ensure you think carefully about the way 3D printing incorporates with 3D modeling.
Nice to have
- The ".xyz" element in the logo is optional, but we would prefer it to keep brand consistency where possible. Maybe this element would be smaller?
Should not have
- Generic style icons/shapes.
