Logo Design Brief

We are a steel building supply company. Basically this means that we design, quote, supply, ship, then construct a building for our customer. Our industry generally serves categories of buildings such as:

Agricultural- small barns, equestrian facilities, etc.
Commercial- office buildings, airplane hangar, stores etc.
Industrial- power plants, welding shops, manufacturing plants, etc
Mini-Storage/Storage Units
Religious- Churches, other religious structures, etc
Residential- Storage sheds, garages, workshops, etc.

Our projects vary between small personal structures to multi-building deals with international clients. We need a logo that looks clean, clear, and representative of Steel City Building Solutions. Basically anything will be better than the logo we have right now so we're not so picky just want something that looks cool and can be used worldwide for immediate recognition.

We like the wordmark logos, and the acronym based ones though we do want the full name included somewhere, the pictorial combination would work with the i beams we like and mentioned in the "nice to have section" and the abstract would work for any other cool symbols or designs that aren't too cartoony or childish, and we do work with steel structures so having the logo enclosed in a shape would work too for a building or something. You can look at our website for reference, it is being updated and modified at this time as well, steel-build.com.

Hopefully i've given everyone some good guidelines and instructions for what we're looking for. If we don't get any submissions we're interested in, we'll extend the deadline for designers to resubmit if they want after contacting us for more info.

Requirements

Must have

• Our Colors are blue, black, and grey. The blue can vary between muted grey blues, to light blues, and regular blue. I don't have any exact colors though so that's open. No royal blues, no turquoise or aqua or anything like that. We do want the full name "Steel City Building Solutions" but we do use SCBS in much of our website, paperwork, facebook page etc. so that's something to think about.

Nice to have

• Our current logo can be found at the bottom of the page. It is two steel I beams that come together at the top almost forming a house roof or "building." It would be nice to incorporate these steel i beams but not totally necessary.

Should not have

• We're not looking for a character or a cartoony logo either. It can be abstract shapes/designs but needs to still be professional and clean.
