Book Cover Design Brief

The school is looking for a close up illustration of a wolf eye, with a wolf reflected in the eye. The face of the wolf should be centered on the spine of the book, with one eye each on the front and back cover. Unlike the attached visual sample, please complete the wolfs face, do not have the wolf fading into black. A black background is fine however, so long as it is on a separate layer for future edibility.
There is no type to set, please do not worry about that.
I would prefer to see composition sketches first to avoid wasting anyone's time, though it is fairly straightforward as far as the design goes - please see the attached samples of what the client has seen that they liked. If you can knock it out straight off, awesome.
Stylistically, please lean towards realism, though a classic fantasy bend is acceptable. They are not looking for anything in the comic/cartoon style.

Requirements

Must have

• We need the layered psd files, with as much capacity for future edits as possible. The files must be the correct final size, with non essential design elements extending into the bleed, and nothing important in the crimp. Please ask if the template needs clarification.
• If you are going to submit a photograph or a photo collage it absolutely must not be grainy at all. The eyes should be dominant in the image - some realism might need to be sacrificed in this. The wolf reflected in the eye should not be the same image repeated.
