Logo Design Brief

We need a logo that will be carved into a kitchen table in our new firehouse. Additionally, the logo will be used as the basis for t-shirts, and other memorabilia used for the grand opening of our firehouse. The logo should be masculine and reminiscent of the 1880s (ie: American Industrial Reveloution). It should be politically correct in all respects and safe for public consumption.

Our engine company was founded in 1868 and was the first steam power piece of firefighting equipment in our city. The "steamer" was pulled by a team of two horses. The Steamer was nicknamed "Young Hoosier" by the members of the fire department.

Please consider incorporating the following phrases/verbiage into the design :
South Bend Fire Department
Firehouse No. 4
"Young Hoosiers"
Established (or Est.) 1868

Additionally, I have attached numerous files for inspiration. One of the files is titled "SBFD old logo". If at all possible it should also be incorporated into the design.
