Logo Design Brief

Would love a logo for a new company based in San Diego called "Guidepost Regulatory Consulting". We provide regulatory consulting for the pharmaceutical (drug) industry. We provide global new drug registration strategies to optimize product development timelines and to achieve desired product labeling. Our approach is pioneering and innovative. In creating regulatory strategy, there is usually more than one possible path and we weigh risk/benefit trade-off for each option. We enjoy looking for solutions and then gauging them in the regulatory and business climate. Thus, the basis for the name guideposts.


I would like to see design that focuses on the diverse paths to getting a drug approved. Most companies are looking for the shortest and most direct path. I see an abstract design that utilizes the visual guidepost or multiple paths to a solution.

The logo should represent:
- leading the way - pioneering
- providing solutions - innovative

Guideposts provide guidance to travelers. Our company will provide guidance to teams. Images of beacons, signposts, lighthouses, blueprints are what come mind.

Target Market(s)

Pharmaceutical Industry - regulated. Work with product development teams navigate the regulatory requirements with the health authorities in various countries (i.e., FDA in the US and EMEA in Europe, etc)

• "Guidepost" should be featured, with "Regulatory Consulting, LLC" less featured (smaller font)

Nice to have

• Not totally committed to color choices. Would like something bold, fresh and innovative
• I'm also open on Fonts. Would rather have the font style dictate the image of the company then be restrictive to serif or sans serif.

Should not have

• No leaves!
• - leaves have a particular context for the industry that is NOT aligned with the work that we do. Please revise any designs with leaves.
