Logo Design Brief

I need a new updated logo as the existing one is 20 years old. I'd like a monochrome design please. We sell paint for shoes. At this stage our market is solely the dance industry but we may expand into other industries so I'd like to keep the logo design industry-neutral. This is the first job. If I'm happy with the results I'll be submitting a second job which will be a label design for the product/ jars. For the label design (second job) I'm wanting to go for a boutique/ vintage feel so it may be good to go on this path/ route for the company logo design. I've attached some inspiration photos to give you an idea, along with the current logo for Ultra Flexible Paint.
