I'm sorry but this brief put me off straight away. Your'e asking for an Aston Martin quality logo? For 150AUD? Without even guaranteeing the prize money? I wonder if Aston Martin paid that for their logo. No. Probably closer to 150.000AUD.

Hmm, a good designer would understand that this is an analogy given to help guide the feel of the logo. A good business person would appreciate that different clients have different budgets and recognise that sometimes the small jobs lead to far bigger jobs - and that ridiculing is not a great way to build your own brand. This job is for a start-up on bootstrap. Had it been for Aston Martin, I'd agree with your sentiment.
