Logo Design Brief

Our company, Thingamajigs Designs, need an unforgettable logo to go with the unforgettable home accessories we design and hand make. Each of our goods is inspired by and made from found objects (some people might even say "junk"). We have been known to make electric wall sconces out of old tractor parts and wooden barn pulleys. Recently we made the coolest bathroom medicine cabinet from the grill of a 1929 Ford Model A and a bathroom light from vintage glass insulators. We have also begun to make one-of-a-kind jewelry, also from found objects, such as sterling spoons and old keys and coins. Our goods are often metal (think old oil tanks and farm implements) and making them often involves welding.

We want a logo design that conveys the creativity, uniqueness and total fabulousness of our goods. We take objects that get thrown away or forgotten (Thingamajigs!) and transform them into useful art for the home. No boring logos, please!

Target Market(s)

Our goods are not inexpensive and are unlikely to be purchased by those with extremely conservative taste. Our targets probably own their own homes, are under 50, into recycling and are hip, cool and appreciate innovation and creativity - even if they are not that creative themselves. People who buy our goods often comment that they could never have thought of that themselves (or made it even if they could have thought of it)!
