Logo Design Brief
I need a logo for an articles website. The niche is going to be entertainment, inspirational stories, viral videos and whatever else is making a buzz. I will be publishing only online, never print.
I want the logo be professionally-looking but not too serious. Perhaps slightly playful.
I'd like multiple colors if possible. I've attached a couple examples I've grabbed off the web to give an idea of the kind of colors palette I'd like (except for green).
I've also included a couple examples as reference for the "sifting" trailing effect I'm after. I like low-poly effects, but I'm open to other sorts of artistic creativity. (Please see attachments as I've uploaded two that I made myself and some from the Internet that I found to give you an idea of the kind of effect I'm after.)
Basically, the name should signify that we "sift" the web every day for whatever is making a buzz to bring that to people. The stories would range anywhere from the slightly serious to the totally funny.
Almost all the articles/videos will be posted via Facebook, so the final design should communicate trustworthiness, fun and reliability from a media publishing niche page.

I've updated the brief to be more precise, as I forgot to mention in the first one that I do not want a black background. I've also added more details for extra clarification. My apologies for not doing so the first time. However, I've put the project on payment committed, so no matter what, someone's going to be picked as a winner definitely. - Something that indicates "sifting". This could be an actual vector of a sifter itself or some sort of pun or double-entente. Maybe something along the lines of the letter "D" being sifted...to show that we search the Internet (Sift) every day (Daily) for good content. This could be an animal or a human hand or anything else that fits your design. (Please see attachments.)
Nice to have
- Logo on a white (or light gray) background.
Should not have
- Logo on a black background. The website's background will be white or light gray, not black or dark.
