Asia Crypt 2018 is a conference for the theory and application of cryptology and information security. Historically, they’ve never really had a good logo design, see previous event websites below. I have also attached a previous logo from 2008 (as you can see, it's very outdated in its design).
- Asia Crypt 2017 - https://asiacrypt.iacr.org/2017/
- Asia Crypt 2016 – http://www.asiacrypt2016.org/
- Asia Crypt 2015 – https://www.math.auckland.ac.nz/~sgal018/AC2015/index.html

We quite like the simplicity and font used in the logo for 2014. See link above. As our 2018 event is in Australia, I think it would be great if we could incorporate the Australian map / something ‘Australiana’ themed into the logo design along with something symbolic of cryptology - a lock, a key, encryption etc.
There is no set style guide / branding colours for this conference but we do have to co-brand the event with the IACR (International Association for Cryptologic Research). See logo attached. With this in mind, we’d probably like the branding to be associated around blue / grey tones.
We’d also need a reverse version of the coloured logo – e.g. the whole logo in white so that we can overlay onto event materials such as lanyards etc.
Areas that this logo will be used:
- In branding on a simple website (being hosted by the client)
- event merchandise - lanyards, program books etc.
- printed event materials - sponsorship prospectus, programs etc.
Ideally, it would be great to have a logo that works as a stand alone but that we can also incorporate into a branding banner to go on email communications etc.
Thank you!
