Logo Design Brief

We are rebranding part of our product line and in search of a new logo for our company (Marting Mfg. of Iowa, Inc.). The product lines under the Marting brand are stainless steel hog feeders, gating for hog barns, and other hog equipment for high production farms. We are a business in the agriculture/livestock market with a reputation of having the heavy-duty equipment. Our products are heavy duty, well built, and made of stainless steel or other metals. The current logo for these products is attached - and can also be seen at www.smidley.com. For the new "Marting" logo, we are looking for ideas that (1) do incorporate some of the design elements of the Smidley logo and ideas that (2) are completely different from the existing Smidley logo.
