Hi! We need a logo for our dance company, "Brinca No Pé." We are a male and female partnership, teaching African partner dances from Angola (kizomba & semba) internationally. We reside in the US and teach mostly around the USA, but also in Canada and Europe.
"Brinca No Pé" means "playing with the feet," alluding to the creative, technical footwork and steps that we use. It is in Portuguese because the is the language of the music we dance to, coming out of Angola. We are known for our equal partnership, and for offering equal instruction and feedback to men and women (leads and follows) - something that is very rare in our dance world.
From our bio:
Brinca, meaning "to play", came together as a movement to spread the love, passion and roots of kizomba and semba to the world. Their goal is to highlight in all that they do what they find to be the meaning of kizomba - party, community and family. These are the core concepts that drive this movement, along with acceptance, fun and love for all.
For the logo, we are looking for something unique (different than the run of the mill dance school logo), fun and clean. We want the font to be fun/playful and catchy, but not childish or unclear. We would like to see two types of designs - one just a logo image and one a logo with our company name written out "brinca no pé". We have imagined the logo incorporating BP or BNP, but are open to other things (just not the run of the mill dancer seen in dance company logos).
Colors we generally use are red, white and black (or sometimes even yellow and black), but would love the logo to be versatile if possible, and to look nice in black and white and in the colors mentioned. if not possible, black and white may be best, but open to whatever you think.
We have attached a file with some logos we admire, we often like clean, circular logos, and our favorites are marked with ***. We also give you all as artists artistic freedom to create! Thank you for your help with this, we look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)
