Logo Design Brief

Sonrise is a youth choir at St. John's United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM. Singers are in grades six through twelve. We are trying to make an even more cohesive group, as well as recruit new members.

Our current logo was designed in 2007 and has served us well, but we're ready for a new look. (I'm uploading it for your reference.)

I'd like a couple of iterations: one that includes just the name of the choir, and one that also includes a couple of lines of copy (the name of the church, and city).

Should not have

• One big caveat: I don't want any overt musical symbols (please, for the love of God, do not turn the "S" of "Sonrise" into a treble clef), or religious ones. Something young looking, fun, colorful, would be great. Thanks!
