Poster Design Brief

We are getting some very good designs but please keep in mind that our story has a primary focus on the relationship between two brothers - the football piece is there - but as a minor character. Also keep in mind our primary characters are African American - we have seen some cool designs but with white characters - lastly - we are seeking a true movie poster look - please check some samples on www.imdb.com - good luck and thanks for the efforts!

We need to have a MOVIE POSTER type visual. Our story originally began as one about Dave Duerson - Who was a player for the Chicago Bears NFL team and later committed suicide due to a brain disease known as CTE. I have included the winning poster from that campaign as a reference - As you can see the designer did a great job for us of incorporating the important concepts of our story - Duerson played for the Chicago Bears so Bears Stadium was used - He won NFL Player of the Year - The trophy was used - He owned a business - That photo was used - this designed worked for us!

HOWEVER - As the research for the story evolved we discovered a better story was that of David's Brother Michael - Our story will now focus on him!!!

Dave and Michael had a typical relationship - Michael was the older brother yet always lived in the shadows of David - David was an All-American Football player at Notre Dame, played profession football for several years and then had a successful business career until the effects of CTE began to overtake him.

MICHAEL was the one behind the scenes - While Michael also suffered a Traumatic Brian Injury - He was the one who was "the guy behind the scenes" through much of his brother success.

SOOOO We need something to capture this relationship - Open to any concepts.

The title of the film is "PREVAIL"

While it might be to wordy to put on the poster our TAGLINE IS: "The incredible story of Michael Timothy Duerson and his dramatic journey through a life impacted by concussions, traumatic brain injuries, and CTE -

The should be LARGE AND BOLD and if the design does include the tagline this should be much smaller.

Written By: Annette C. Hull and Warren R. Hull should be on the bottom of the poster.

While we do not need a poster with as much detail as the one you see with FEEL MY PAIN photo (We don't have great photos of Michael to work with) we are open to not showing faces - Using silhouette or something like the poster for the film THE BLIND SIDE!

Again - WE HAVE NOTHING SOLID IN MIND - BE CREATIVE - We will come back to our winner for more designs once the films funding is released - So this could end up being a great contract for the person who captures our attention!
