Logo Design Brief

We are looking to update our current logo which was last refreshed 20 years ago. We have been in business for 91 years (est 1926) providing "casually elegant" retail gifts and fudge in a summer tourist destination in northern Michigan. We are looking for the design to reflect our brand image of "casual elegance". Some of our current lines include: Melissa and Doug, Troll Bead Bracelets, Minnetonka Moccasins, Miche Bag purses, Camila, and Ty to give you an idea of some of the products carried

Current logo is attached and is not unpopular, but we'd like to have it updated and are open to minor tweaks or major overhauls to see what would best attract that mid-upscale shopper. We are looking for fresh, and simple, refresh ideas that are trendy but classy, possibly tying in the Mackinac Bridge (signature area land mark pictures attached; feel free to google Mackinaw City as well for other area inspiration). Our primary demographic are women and families. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Secondary: Families
Our target market would be similar to that demographic that would frequent Panera Bread. Not crazy upscale/expensive, but a cut above with a commitment to quality if that makes sense.
