Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my counseling practice. I am a clinical psychologist based in southern California. The name Tri Tier is adapted from a principle in neuroscience called the "triune brain". This is based on an understanding of the brain being organized into three evolutionarily based components: instinctual, emotional and cognitive (thinking). Wellbeing is the result of these three components functioning in an integrative fashion.

I am uploading a sample of the logo I am currently using.
I don't like it. looking for something more contemporary. Looking for something "hip" to convey the tri integration.
