Logo Design Brief

***WE WISH TO FOCUS ON THE CORE BUSINESS ELEMENTS OF a LOGO INCORPORATING THE JOB/WORK/CONTRACT/MONEY RELATED THEME* / Freelancing theme. ***

This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who wants to be with a unique, fast-growing business in the job and crypto industry. This is your chance to make an impact for your design company, as well as our business starting out. It is likely there will be follow on work including website implementation and IA ongoing through this year. So there are additional opportunity moving ahead. We are looking for stable designer that consult us through the development stage of the product cycle over the coming years.

Job Rascals is a job agency website with a really different twist. There is a financial side to the business as well, that allows people to invest the money they are paid. Please let us know if you require additional information in the feedback section of this competition if you would like feedback.


So the elements of bitcoin and ethereum are part of the idea. We need a really powerful logo that represents the businesses financial, and job related aspects.

We want Job Rascals to seem like a great freelancer site that all people can make a profit from and need help from an designer with the initial logo spec.

There will be a lot more design work following on, I suspect once the project reaches it's height. It is still early days yet.

We found an interesting idea and attached the picture logo to this spec.. this isn't exactly the feel we want but it's very similar to the github logo feel we think, and we're looking for this modern cryptocurrency job agency format

• -> Logo must be **unique** **simple** and **elegant** and encompass both finance and job agency. We no longer require cryptocurrency feel due to some issues with the brand and trademark arrangements.
• -> We are a serious brand and brand recognition is important to us. Depending on the quality of submissions and the revisions required we may increase our bounty to reflect any additional must haves not already present in brief.
• -> Logo must be pure, without image background. We can add that ourselves later, we are really looking for a rich and elegant logo and typset, as opposed to a look and feel (i.e. background image opacity etc).
• -> Logo must be professional like a bank or a professional job agency so the colour and theme of the logo is an important determinator in the winner.
• -> Job rascal is a freelance site where people can find jobs a bit like fiverr.com or even designcrowd.com but with a specific market audience.

Nice to have

• -> Job Rascal is starting in the IT and Cloud Industry and therefore the elements of Cloud and the hosting business are desirable,

Should not have

• ** PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT HAVE CRYPTOCURRENCY LOGOS FROM OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES**
• -- there were some issues with some of the best submissions that had used elements that were recognisable such as ethereum and bitcoin. Please ensure that final designs submitted do not use cryptocurrency logos. Instead please focus on the job and get rich aspect of the brand identity.
• @@What about "Nevermind the King of the Castle, lets all be wealthy Rascals"?@@
• -> We do not like opacity based backgrounds of other things beneath the logo. Please remember this is a logo design and not a set design. Please see the example logo we give for the general look and feal for what we are going for.
• -> Please try and avoid using common vector art. We are looking for something unique!
• -> Please don't base your logo just off the one example we gave.. yes. it's close and catchy to the style of what we want but the subject matter and expansion of idea of the logo example we upload is a bit different. We like the example we posted in the look and feel slider, but we're looking for something truly unique and inspirational for our financial job agency business idea that has never been done before!
• -> Remember! You have free reign here. We want a logo that represents a job agency with a crypto currency feel. We want the logo to represent a slight cheekiness, as the idea is that people that go on the site are 'rascals' looking for a job.
• This is a play on words, and job rascal represents this 'get rich quick' perception.
• We're building a website that really can make it happen but want a carefully branded equation to bring forward the values we desire most.
• Therefore they are no shoud not haves, but more about what elements we specifically need included in the logo brand.
• -> Should not be off topic
• Cryptocurrency and Jobs is a bit part of our business, and therefore this needs to be reflected. We are trying to reflect a site where people exchange and 'buy' or 'bid' and sell work. Please try and ensure that your designs do not miss these features.
• --> Please no ties! We've rejected many designs incorporating a tie/bowtie into it. We want to give a unique apperance that speaks to our industry and brand, rather than risk confusing with a clothes retailer etc, we need a really clear message.
