Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my Congressional Campaign in the Indiana 9th District. The campaign committee is named "Tom K. Pappas for Congress," and I would like to see designs that reflect my liberal nature while capturing the hope and optimism that being only 29 years old affords this effort. I'm imagining a logo that uses the traditional red, white, and blue, but I could be persuaded to break that mold with the right logo design. I'm a progressive Democrat running on a platform of social and economic justice for everyone. Thanks for your design!
