Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for a brand new indie book (and gift) store in a small resort mountain town. The store is gracious, welcoming, cozy, inviting, community-focused and FULL of books, chairs and lamps to tuck in and read by, and gifts. Logo should communicate a fun, gracious and not quite whimsical feel. Obviously a barn owl will be part of the logo. The barn owl can at times look a bit unfriendly - this should not be the case in the logo.

- A barn owl that is identifiable as a barn owl and is appealing and that people can relate to. The logo needs to be clever and appealing enough to sell on mugs, t-shirts and aprons.
Nice to have
- He might possibly be wearing glasses but doesn't have to.
Should not have
- An owl that is not a barn owl. A barn owl in flight. A cartoon or "funny" owl. Not an intricate line drawing or sketch of a barn owl.
