Logo Design Brief

We need a logo/display picture for my band named 'Globes'. I'm caught between having a very simple look and a very detailed look. I have the idea of having a light bulb with a globe (earth-like) inside of it. I found a picture that pretty much sums up the look i'm after and I did a little mock up but the logo isn't mine. But I'm after something a bit more....catchy if that makes sense. I want it to interest the eye. Looking forward to seeing the designs! Thank you
