Logo Design Brief

We are a brand new non-profit organization, The Emergency Medical Services Fund, Inc., with the mission to help communities provide the highest level of emergency medical services through their volunteer organizations to their residents. We assist by providing equipment and funds for training.

We need a logo that accurately represents our brand and mission, clearly identifies us as being a part of the emergency medical services family, and can stand on it's own, without words, to help in advertising, marketing and mostly fundraising. Be able to apply it to letterhead, business cards, brochures, and formal fundraising invitations, etc.

We need to be able to use the design on patches, hats, clothing, other paraphernalia like pens, bags, etc. We need to have space to include out website address, TheEMSFund.org. The ability to include tag lines around the logo such as, 'we help you help your community.'

We would like something creative, expressive and unique. We are open to all suggestions. Our current webpage is very basic. The new logo will need to easily be incorporated into a new website design. Should be able to be used as profile images on twitter, facebook, google plus and the like.

Please feel free to ask any questions. We would rather take our time and get something really special, then speed through the process for the sake of just having something.

Since we are a year plus away from being able to do any fundraising because of IRS red tape, our budget is small, after all we are a charity organization that will be tax exempt at some point in the future. But we expect to reward quality appropriately and are not looking for a handout. Just great work at a reasonable rate.

I have removed the logo text as I feel it's distracting from the idea of being creative and unique. The name must be able to easily be incorporated with the logo though. 'The Emergency Medical Services Fund' (optional) Can also be 'The EMS Fund'

I am sorry to all that I have been unable to provide feedback and make final decisions.  I have to extend it a few more days due to a family emergency I've been dealing with.  Thank you for understanding.

To all designers,

The submissions have truly been excellent and I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to submit them.  I will be spending the next couple of days going over all of them and will be in contact with the designer(s) that I feel have understood and designed something that I'll be proud to have represent our new organization.

I may have to extend the project for a few more days.  As I previously mentioned, I've been dealing with some personal/family problems that are taking up much of my time and I don't want to rush this process as I intend to use this logo for decades to come.

If anyone has any final submissions or changes they would like to make, I ask that you do them over the next day or two so over the weekend, if not before, myself and the board members can make a final decision on a design and designer.

Again, thank you.  I've been impressed with a great number of the designs and hope that the high value I put for the winner has been a great incentive as well as the additional payouts, even though small, for a few other designers that have really done a great job.  Unfortunately we can only have one logo.  If I could, I'd declare 2 or 3 as winners ;)

Thank you,
Marc

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: For the reasons previously mentioned, I am extending this project one last time. I have also changed the project to committed to payment as I believe at this point that is only fair given all the extensions I have had to make. Thank you all for understanding.
