Logo Design Brief

We are wanting to update our logo, our current (attached) is hard to apply to a lot of different formats due to the large blocks on the left or above, we are after something more compact and modern. Have attached current cooper logo for reference and for our current colours, not all of these colours have to be used, but any colours that are used need to be those shown. Have also attached our directors sketch to show the elements he is after, and a mock up done using just a font found online also for reference. We are after something like this however more professional, of course, modern, and not a recognisable font. We like the idea of some overlap of the letters, or letters that are merging with one another. *Please note the current references use ' COOPER ' however we have decided to go with ' COOPERS '. We prefer capitals as we would like it all in one line.
