Book Cover Design Brief
Shabbalicious Living is a phase I have coined to describe inspirational life principles that emerge by following your passion in life. My passion is shabby chic furniture and décor. I run an on-line business called Luv My Stuff - see my web site www.luvmystuff.com.au and the links to my Facebook page (daily inspiration) and my YouTube channel - Shabbalicious TV to get a fuller sense of my passion.
The Book is loosely modelled on the "Chicken Soul for the Soul" formula with the exception all of the stories are my own. I tell stories about pieces of furniture that I have created and demonstrate essential life lessons and principles though those creations. Examples of the life lessons (to help illustrate) include the importance of living in the now, overcoming obstacles in life, following your passion and love. The vehicle to carry these messages is Shabby Chic - my passion.
The title of the book is Shabbalicious Living - Shabby Stories of Love, Passion and Inspiration. The author is my partner - Bea Hare. I was intending this to be an e-book in the first instance with an option to go to print.

Requirements
Must have
- The book is inspirational and heart warming so the design should carry a positive energy that catches the eye and invites the reader to open the book to find out more.
Nice to have
- A shabby chic feel and style. My favourite colour is pink and I adore roses but this is not mandatory. The current visitor profile to my Facebook and YouTube sites is 85% female generally between the early 20's to the mid 60's in age.
I am more interested in classy and positive than "girly". I am aiming the book at both genders but realise the appeal will be greatest to women.
Should not have
- I am looking for unique so want to be different than say Rachel Ashwell who is one of the leaders in the world of shabby chic. The book is from me, so whilst I have provided my logo, I don't think it needs to feature in the design necessarily.
