Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a division of our company called Capitol Logic and also for JotDot Publishing. Capitol Logic is a lobbying arm of our company. We are not interested in using an image of the capitol but something more modern than your typical logo of the capitol with Captiol Logic written below it. We are into minimalist styles with a splash of color. A logo that will last and is modern and fresh. JotDot Publishing handles some of our creative works, publishing books, articles, magazines, blogs, and other creative content. This logo should be a bit more edgy, but still modern, stylistic. All of this falls under a company that is somewhat high-end, so no cheesy clipart will do. We have numerous divisions and many projects to go so we are really seeking that "go-to" person for all our projects for logos, new web development, etc. Please be thoughtful in your design proposals. We have uploaded a few files of logos we have seen here that we liked.
