Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for a conference in Wellington, New Zealand. The conference is about conservation biology in the Oceania region. I would like the logo to convey the following ideas about conservation: changing, evolving, connectedness, community, resilience. Our people are working in terrestrial and marine environments. Our theme is 'conservation in a changing world'. If possible we would like the logo to reflect the fact that its location is in New Zealand.
