Signage Design Brief

We are rehabbing a broken-down cabin in Colorado mountains. On the property is a condemned house -- all that we can save on it is a river-rock chimney. Since that chimney will soon be a free-standing outdoor fireplace, and one of the only landmarks on our small acreage, I'd like to 'brand' it with initials of my last name and my husbands. W and T. So WT. I'd like them combined into a simple plain-talking brand (as in cattle brand, not corporate brand), that we could have a metal-worker punch out of metal for a sign to place on one of the facades of the chimney. This icon for WT could also someday be placed elsewhere like on a fence post, or on a wooden trunk or something. I'm not saying this has to be literal (exactly a cattle brand), but I also don't want it elaborate like Victoria and Albert's combined initials. Nor do I want us to look like the volkswagen badge. I hope this is enough to go on. I know an artist will have a good sense about this, since I love the idea and don't know how to go beyond the inspiration to reality. Thank you!

family, not for commercial use. I assume this is a black and white project. But you could show a version with color, too, for potential use down the road on stationery? Description/metaphors: rustic-modern, mining-town, mountains, foothills, 1885, orchard (there was an orchard on the property). So this would maybe end up in a name like "WT orchards" or "WT Honey" if we get our bees to produce enough to put a label on a batch for gifts.

Nice to have

• I've seen some metal working that has white space and metal and then maybe a third element in bright aluminum. I say this so you know you don't HAVE to limit yourself completely to black and white. There might be an accent? or at least an option for an accent -- there might be a tree in there, or the hint of some natural element (mountain, orchard). or not. 'nice to have' as an option?

Should not have

• no hokey cowboy ropey cheesiness. We're city dwellers with renovation skills who hope to fix up this rustic place. For now, it's a chimney and an 1885 barn and a cabin we're trying to heat and weather proof.
