Logo Design Brief

We need an abstract logo to accompany our company initials (SMG) to bring a modern look to a sometimes conservative business - currently, we use the IMPACT font for our logo but are open to change. We are looking for a symbol that sits comfortably alongside those letters SMG. We are a shipping, ports and maritime consultancy based in Australia. So far we have tended to use blue (as in ocean) and we are reasonably comfortable with that. We want to project knowledge, experience, innovation with a contemporary/modern forward-looking approach. We try to forge strong and lasting relationships with clients with great attention to detail understanding the clients' business.
