Illustration Design Brief

Company Description:

Giving a gift to your employees, distributors and customers, is no different from giving a gift to someone special in your life. It is about showing your appreciation by selecting a meaningful gift and presenting it in a memorable way.

At Cultivate Premium Corporate Merchandise, we have learned that it is not only important to select the appropriate gift for the occasion but also providing a unique experience around the gift is critical in creating that lasting memorable impression. We also believe that the brand of gift you give is a reflection on your company’s corporate image and therefore we only provide the highest quality, premium and luxury brands in the market place. With this goal in mind, Cultivate Premium Corporate Merchandise provides an agency approach to the corporate gifting industry.

Gift categories include sunglasses, luggage, watches, electronics, apparel, etc. We need an illustration that describes the "gifting experience" in a fun, customized and premium way. This can be a series of boxes with illustrations in each one (like a comic strip) so that it tells a story - possibly with captions outside of the boxes. The example we'd like to start with is the experience of receiving a custom fit pair of sunglasses.

These illustrations can be very simple (like the attached example of an Ikea instruction manual). We can add captions to each box as well.

Box #1 - Check in at reception desk where you're directed to the sunglass fitting station. (surprise look on your face)

Box#2 - See the fitting station and you're greeted by a fitter who hands you a pair to try on. (The fitting station is a 10' table with signage and 20 pairs of sunglasses displayed like a retail store. There are usually two sunglass fitters behind the table to help recipients with their selection.)

Box #3 - See yourself in the mirror and smile because you love the pair of sunglasses you are wearing

Box #4 - Fitter hands you your pair of sunglasses with a custom case and away you go (maybe a drink in the other hand)

Once we find an illustrator that we like, we'll want to have 8-10 other illustrations done so we have one for each category of experience.

Requirements
Must have
  • Must be relatively easy to see what each scene is about (but keep in mind that we can have captions as well)

Can have some fun with this, but must appeal to a high-end buyer/decision maker so nothing inappropriate or too child-like.
