Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a group of Dermatologists who have advanced surgical training in Mohs Surgery. We refer to ourselves as Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeons. Our national organization is called the American College of Mohs Surgery. This logo is for the group of us that are in Florida who have formed our own state organization.

A bit about what we do.. Mohs Surgery is a tissue-sparing technique for removing skin cancer named after Frederic Mohs who developed the procedure. We use scalpels to remove a circular layer of cancerous tissue, freeze the tissue in a cryostat, make microscopic slides, then look at the slides under the microscope. Once the tumor has been removed we suture the wounds. I think surgical instruments like scalpel blades, needles/suture, or microscopes would be good images. I have attached our early attempt at a logo before we decided to seek professional help.
