Logo Design Brief

Under Groove is a 4 piece originals Rock band based in Auckland New Zealand.Our music tends towards Classic Rock, but has more recently started to move towards more modern Rock music that is a little heavier and a little darker than Classic Rock.

Band members have varied influences ranging from 80s Pop & Rock to Blues and Thrash Metal, which is reflected in the songs we write and play.
Although we all live in New Zealand permanently, the band is made up of 2 Kiwis (New Zealanders) and 2 South Africans.

We are looking for a band logo that is representative of our music (the logo should scream "Kick Ass Rock Band" figuratively speaking of course), our influences and possibly the fact we are based in New Zealand. The logo will need to be able to be printed on the Kick Drum skin and will be used on our websites, social media and merchandise.

We currently use the font STAMP ACT for our UNDER GROOVE logo - not a requirement

Requirements

Must have

• Does not necessarily have to have the full UNDER GROOVE - could just be the U & G but would be good to see options with the full name.
• Fonts should be representative of the musical genre (we don't have any specific font in mind).

Nice to have

• Graphics representing modern day Rock music.

Should not have

• Must not have a "corporate" feel - this is a Rock band not a company....
• Please do not submit designs which are just the words UNDER GROOVE in a given font - we could do that ourselves.
