Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new brewery we are working on opening called "Tar Banks Brewing Co." located in Louisburg, NC USA. We are 3 guys with a dream and are trying to make it happen. Louisburg is a small town named in honor of King Louis XVI of France and is founded on the Banks of the Tar River. The brewery will be a short walk to the river and when we think of Tar Banks we think of boats, river, port, tar, fish, etc... I had pictured a river with a boat washed ashore and covered in black tar and having Tar Banks Brewing Co. written on the side of the boat as if it was done with a finger. We want it to be a simple logo, but stand out to possibly represent beer, the Tar River, and the brewery. We would love to see all the creative logos that all of you awesome designers come up with and we hope we can get the right one for our dream to come true. Cheers!!!

• River, Beer, and a boat, black tar
• "Tar Banks Brewing Co." needs to be larger enough to see well in the logo.

Nice to have

• Maybe a boat washed ashore on a river that is covered with black tar and maybe written on the side of the boat with a finger "Tar Banks Brewing Co.". Maybe there could be a port in the background, but just an idea. Maybe a boat washed ashore on a river with someone painting "Tar Banks Brewing Co." on the side with a brush using a bucket of tar and drinking a beer. Or maybe the person painted "Tar Banks Brewing Co." on the side of the boat and they are laying against the boat sleeping with a beer in their hand a hat pulled down over their eyes and a bucket of tar with the brush stuck in it. The logo can even be like an emblem logo made up in the shape of a shield or crown outline with a silhouette of a river with a boat or port. The colors can be one to two colors as long as details are seen. I hope these ideas help.
