Would you accept 3D Rendered scenes? And if so, can you provide the SketchUp file in other format like .3ds or .obj, or an older version of SketchUp? (I'm working with 3DS Max 2016 and maybe that's why I can't import the current file)

Alternatively if you provide the dimensions of the bridge like how tall is the railing, how wide is the bridge and other dimensions that are constant or have some limits, I'll be able to do the scene from scratch.

Hi Adriqn,

Thanks for your message. I have added a new zip folder to the brief which inlcludes some older versions of the sketchup model and I have also exported to .3DS and .obj.

I cannot view these types of files but hopefully they work in your intended software.

We are not against having 3D renders as long as they look professional. We are looking for graphics that appear architectural in their style. We do not want it to look like a sketchup model.

Feel free to have a quick go and I will do my best to give you some honest feedback. Have a look at the examples in the word document for the type of thing we are looking for.

Thanks.

Hi All,

Thanks for your interest int he contest. Just to make you all aware we have updated the size of the images we require (our original size was too small for the marketing team). We hope this doesn't cause any issues.

To clarify:

We require the JPG, raw PSD files to a minimum size of 3000px (W) x 2000px (H)
Any updates you make to the 3D files e.g. .SKP and/or .3DS would be appreciated! :)

Hi All,

Just to confirm that we have already awarded the winner on this project. Congratulations EJCX!

However, since we are still receiving great quality submissions that we may be able to use in alternative publications my team is now considering if we will be awarding runner up places (an option on Designcrowd for NZ100). To do this we need three suitable images of each style (i.e. 3 images from each artist) so that they can be considered.

We are very pleased by everyone's interest in our competition and have been really impressed by the quality out there.... Keep up the good work everyone!

We will be holding further contests in the near future once we have developed some alternative bridge designs.

Best regards,

Dan and the DCSS Team.
