Logo Design Brief

A logo for a new membership website called the Food Photography Club. This website will have over 14 courses on food photography, a forum community for all members, live webinars, and in person workshops. I have been teaching food photography for 5 years and also have a blog called www.foodphotographyblog.com. My beta launch will be to that list of subscribers along with the FB group called Food Photography Club. I just got the home page up: https://foodphotographyclub.com/

I am the teacher so you can see my commercial food photography work at www.christinapeters.com to see the kind of food photography I do and I teach classes to take shots like these.

Target Market(s)

I have several markets that I teach to. 1. Food Bloggers, 2. Chefs, 3. Restaurant owners or people who work for them, 4. Companies that make a food product, 5. PR firms that specialize in food, 6. Culinary students and teachers, 7. photo hobbyist 8. A few pro shooters who are branching out into food photography

The common connection here is food - everyone I mentioned above is a foodie. It brings us all together. I plan on running this like a tight community, a foodie family where they will get support and be able to transform their food photos into something they are proud of.

Requirements

Must have

• Must be easy to read. I love beautiful fonts but they don't work well for logos if you can't read them.
• I just added an image with a logo and text in it. I like the designs with cameras and/or lenses. I like the text on the right side - but I want the words to be balanced with equal weight.

Nice to have

• color - I'm so sorry I don't have more details here. I have been stuck on this for months so I just thought I'd start it :)
• I love greens, purples and I also like brown or black when used with these colors. I threw a third color in there, the orange, in case that's handy.
• I do love emblems, badges, that sort of thing.

Should not have

• complicated design, a lot going on. I hate red or royal blues in logos for some reason, maybe because they are so corporate
