Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for a new minimalist wallet that we are launching. The logo will be embossed on a leather wallet.

Our current brand, BluShark, is a line of nylon watch straps. It is seen as a premium brand, but one that does not take itself too seriously. The branding is playful and not stuffy. We will be launching a line of wallets, which is what this project is focused on.

KangaBlu is a slim wallet with an elastic pocket (thus, the kangaroo reference). It is a navy blue leather wallet, with a gray elastic pocket on the front for ID cards, etc.

The product is called KangaBlu and the company is BluShark. The logo should have "Blu" in it stylized the way it is in our logo and I'd like some form kangaroo imagery even if it's just a pouch or a hand-drawn silhouette of a kangaroo.

Requirements

Must have

• "Blu", It can be stylized as it is in our logo or a different font that is not too stuffy; A tie-in to kangaroos would be good.
• It can say "Kanga" before "Blu". Doesn't have to if imagery is incorporated in a way that makes sense.
• it should be our brand colors (navy and lighter blue). Doesn't need to be a perfect match.

Nice to have

• Ideally, it will be somewhat consistent with the BluShark logo, but they do not need to be perfect matches. It would be nice to have a nice extension from the existing logo to KangaBlu with a kangaroo connection that ties in the benefit of the wallet (elastic pouch), but that's not necessary.

Should not have

• Kangaroo imagery shouldn't be too cartoon-ish. Should not be "corporate" feeling or stuffy.
