Logo Design Brief
This is a logo / slogan for a surf / SUP apparel and accessories line. Paddletude (term) has been trademarked- now we want to create a logo that will represent the brand. It will ultimately be used in the design of tee shirts, other apparel and accessories for surf and standup paddleboard enthusiasts. Marketed toward families- so it will be used for both adult and children clothing lines. The logo needs to be memorable, but something that would work for both kids and adults if on tee shirt. I don't think the logo needs an image, but if you think it would be enhanced by one, we can try it.
I have attached a logo below of a company this product will be affiliated with. I don't necessarily want it to look like that same logo (would like something a little more clean / modern), but you can use it for inspiration since they WILL be affiliated. Thank you!

Requirements
Must have
- The trademarked logo will be used on the products. I am envisioning the first two d's to be made from upside down paddles. Logo should be fun and trendy. Will be used to market to families (incl. kids)- but don't it TOO "fun" so that adults would use it as well. Should represent the paddleboard / waterman lifestyle.
Nice to have
- I am thinking it will look better all lowercase.
Should not have
- Please don't use colors that appear outdated. At the moment, I am not super picky about colors as long as they can be changed easily. But I don't want any that would be from the 70's (pea green, ugly browns, yellows and oranges, etc). :-)
