Logo Design Brief

We are a retailer of used office furniture and equipment located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, looking to re-brand under the name Define Office Furniture. The name refers to the idea that we, as a company and a store, are “the definition of used office furniture.”

Our operation is geared towards helping local businesses dispose of and recover value for excess assets by marketing them to new owners (recycle, re-use, re-purpose). By giving new life to gently used office furniture and equipment, we are doing our part to be environmentally conscious and friendly.

The reason for the re-brand is to better-define what we do from a customer perspective. We already have a strong reputation as the place to go when you have assets to dispose of, we now need to become known as the place to go when you are looking for office furniture and equipment. The majority of our sales are desks, chairs, and filing cabinets, but we do sell everything needed in the office. We do not have a "target customer" per se aside from anyone one looking for office furniture and equipment. We sell to private individuals and businesses alike. People normally would find us in the online classifieds as they are looking to save $$$ on their purchases

Our preference for the logo is one that is simple and clean.
It must be easily-recognizable at a distance as it will be used on signage.
Blue is our preferred primary color, and we are open to the idea of a secondary color.
We are also open to other suggestions outside of these criteria as well.
The logo can consist of the words Define Office Furniture but also may incorporate the word used.
Once again, other suggestions are also welcome.

Note: Please only submit 1 Rendering of your design on a white background. Other renderings will be eliminated.

Target Market(s)

We do not necessarily have a "target customer", aside from the one looking for office furniture and equipment. We sell to private individuals and businesses alike.
They can be purchasing for a major Corporation, Small Business or startup, or even a home office. Bottom line is that they are cost conscious and / or want quality furnishings at a better price.

• Alternatively, we could possibly use "define" to influence / incorporate or create and icon.
• What does "define" mean to you?
• We would like some artistic content to differentiate our log from the rest.
