Logo Design Brief
Free Cheers is an alcohol bottle shop specialising in gluten free and gluten removed beers, lagers, ales and stouts, plus a range of ciders, wines and spirits. Free Cheers' mission is to make a wide selection of gluten free alcoholic drinks (brewed by small independent breweries) available to coeliacs, those who eat a wheat-free diet, and beer lovers who just want to try something new. The shop will also provide drinks choices for people with other allergies and diets, such as vegan. Independent breweries and craft ales very 'trendy' and I would like the Free Cheers logo to be hipster-inspired. I also very much like the bold Art Deco / Pop Art feel of many brewery logos and bottle labels. Free Cheers will also strive to change the opinion of non-coeliacs and gluten-lovers who perceive gluten free beers as inferior to mainstream alternatives. The logo will be used on a variety of printed and online material, in both small and large format. The shop's name is made up of the work 'Free' (from gluten free) and 'Cheers' which is synonomous with drinking and having the good time.
