Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for a website called "Poppin' Smoke." The expression "poppin smoke" is a military term that means to leave, clear out, etc. (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=poppin%20smoke)
The website is a travel site targeting retired and soon-to-be retired US military (and their families). It's designed to encourage them to take advantage of the benefits and privileges available to them that make traveling more convenient and affordable. It's also meant to inspire them to do something different (i.e. travel, live abroad, etc.) with the next phase of their lives. Many US military retirees are under the age of 50 - much younger than your average public or private sector retiree in the US..
I welcome any designs, but one of my initial thoughts was something with an airplane taking off. I don't want the design to be too complicated. I do want to convey the meaning of the expression "pop smoke," as explained above. Other ideas to convey might include transitioning from military to civilian life and freedom (i.e. freedom from responsibilities, starting a more care-free lifestyle,, etc.).

Reason: I've received several designs that I really like, but I need a bit more time to provide feedback to refine them. I'm traveling this weekend, so I won't have time to give it my full attention before the original deadline (tomorrow).

- I did not select colors below because the palette doesn't really have the the shades I'm thinking of, but I would like to see designs with dark green or other "military" colors (colors that are in a military camouflage uniform). In general, I'd like to have a logo that speaks to a military audience.

- Already mentioned in description above.
Should not have
- Nothing too complicated and no cartoons, but I do want it to be "fun." No character logo.
