Logo Design Brief

I am a freelance medical writer with a PhD in molecular biology, specializing in virology/immunology. I am based out of Philadelphia, PA, but work for clients around the world. I would like to market myself as someone who can offer medical writing and research support for a global audience. I currently write for peer-reviewed journals, clinician journals, common-interest science pieces, and some regulatory work-- grant proposals, new drug applications, etc. My favorite work is writing news pieces about scientific and medical research discoveries. My work is valued for being accurate, approachable, and clear. As such, I would love my logo to be simple, with clean lines and modern style. Since the majority of my work is medical writing, I'd like to incorporate script (for the CG, probably) or some interesting pencil-like texture to the logo.
