Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for my nonprofit web portal, iPivoted, which is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We create a space for underserved students to post their profiles in order to attract crowdfunded scholarships for post-secondary education.
We are in the process of changing our strategy. We will identify the top 50 public high schools that serve inner city and distressed rural America as measured by screens used to measure independently verifiable information. After those top secondary schools are identified, we will then enable students who attend those schools to post profiles on our website.
You can see our website at www.iPivoted.org, but the look and feel of it are about to change! While we initially designed our website to have a clean, staid, and professional look to it, a potential funder has asked that we redesign the website to look a bit "edgier." Check out virginamerica.com, thealtheafoundation.org, or rmhc.org. It seems that the donor wants a bright color palette, perhaps with reds and/or some purples (virginamerica has a clever design vis a vis Continental or United). Of the three listed, I think we want to have a look that's closer to virgin america than the other two.
We call our company iPivoted because we believe that most underserved students stand at a crossroads after their high school graduation - they can either work low-skill, low-wage jobs for the rest of their lives or they can get the education and skills they need to "pivot up" to a better life of financial independence and choice. I believe that the logo should reflect the motion of pivoting, perhaps with the "v" but perhaps in some other way. I'd love to see your ideas.

- I'd like to see ideally some sort of "motion" to reinforce the idea of pivoting between two distinct crossroads. I'm not sure how to capture this and am open to suggestions.
I'd like the logo to be used across all media and to be fairly easily to replicate (eg, not so many fine parts that they can get blurred).
