Logo Design Brief

Our current logo is a photo of a fiber optic globe. See thompsonpatentlaw.com. I want a lighter logo that is techy and reflects our niche in electrical engineering. Maybe incorporate a transistor symbol, see attached. I want it clean looking, but not a standard boring old law firm type logo. We go by TPL for short, and the key words are Thompson and Patent. We do have a saying "Home of the Litigation Quality Patent" but that is probably way to much of a mouthful for a logo.

Requirements

Must have

• I want it to be tight, and pop, but clearly indicate that we do patents. Since we are specifically electrical engineers who have become patent attorneys, I want to represent high tech and am thinking that a circuit schematic symbol of a transistor (one without the circles around them) might call out to our specific ideal client who has an electrical enigineering degree.

Nice to have

• Want it to look sharp whether in color on web or printed, or in Black & White from a B&W printer.
