Logo Design Brief

Hi there - we need a logo design for our new/small biotech company base in Auckland New Zealand. The company name is Auckland BioSciences Limited.
This company is in the business of producing adult bovine serum ie processed blood plasma from cattle, for use in vaccine manufacturing. Having said this our plans are to diversify and broaden the range of products sold in the near future.
This company exports 99% of its products.

The image of the company I would like to portray are:
- simplicity
- cleverness/sophistication
- progressive
- contemporary
- and a little bit of fun/young
- global business
I know it is not easy to convey all these into a simple logo but I will leave up to the clever designers to find the right balance.

Auckland is the major city in New Zealand and it is also know as the City of Sails because of its location and the love of the water (ocean).

I would leave it to you to decide whether to use the acronym ABS (Auckland bioSciences). Use of colour is important for us. For medical sector - blue is well respected and is associated with 'trust'.
