Logo Design Brief
Logo design for a new non-profit called "Wayfinder Missions".
Our mission statement is: Mobilizing, Uniting and Engaging our World through Sustainable Cross Cultural Relationships to bring Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Life. Our Vision is "Connected for Life", meaning, long term relationships and/or life giving connections such as medical teams. The design should be simple, look good in black/white, have color, and convey stability of purpose but cutting edge in creativity. Our target market is typically < 45 years old with many in their 20's and 30's.
Target Market(s)
Anyone interested in our mission. Typically but not limited to - Church youth ministers and adult missions leaders; high schools; college groups; medical groups; groups seeking retreats; These people need us along side them from conception to execution of missions overseas and domestically. We lead them, we "wayfind" for them.

Requirements
Must have
- Timeless , simplistic, scale-able. The term "wayfinder" comes from the ancient method of navigation the polynesians used to hop from island to island. "Wayfinders" know how to get you safely from here to there, they know the ancient ways that have been lost by others. They are expert navigators and "read" the ocean, stars and other signs to get you from point A to point B.
Nice to have
- I've thought about the idea of echoing the image of a torch, compass or north star.
Should not have
- Busy design that is not very professional and scale-able for a larger org. Should work well in color or black and white. Not "cartoonish".
